I welcome you to explore my gallery of personal art healing done at different times, under different pressures, joys, challenges—some are raw, some are stark, some are soft. They were all healing for me for their own reasons.
Creating art is healing and it is ageless. I was in my mid-fifties when I heeded my friend’s advice and began to draw and then to paint. The young, the elders, and everyone in between can participate in the magic of creating— from mud pies to digital art.
A creative imagination is virtually boundless in using media, whether finger paints, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, charcoal, oils, pencils, fabrics, mud, or computer program digital art. Over the years I've experimented with all of the above and have liked each of them for various reasons. The creamy richness of the feel and the color of pastels, the immediacy of acrylics, the translucence of watercolors, the quickness of charcoals, the easy ‘clean up’ with digital art. All make my heart sing when I'm playing with them. A singing heart is a healing heart…
